BB&T Corporation declares 15-cent first-quarter dividend
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Dec. 14, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The board of directors of BB&T Corporation (NYSE: BBT) today declared the 2011 first-quarter dividend of $0.15 per common share. At this quarterly rate, the annual dividend is equivalent to $0.60 per common share.
The dividend will be paid Feb 1, 2011, to shareholders of record as of Jan. 7, 2011. The company has approximately 694 million shares outstanding. BB&T has paid a cash dividend to shareholders every year since 1903.
