BBG Launches 24/7 Russian-language network
WASHINGTON, Feb. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On February 7, Broadcasting Board of Governors CEO John Lansing kicked off the official launch of the new 24/7 Russian-language television and digital network, Current Time. The network is a joint production of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and Voice of America.
"Current Time addresses the needs of Russian-speaking audiences in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe, and around the world. It provides an opportunity for those audiences to finally have professional, objective and trustworthy news and information," Lansing said.
