Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business Partners With The Migala Report
WACO, Texas, Dec. 3, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Sports Sponsorship & Sales (S3) program at Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business announced a partnership with The Migala Report, an educational and idea-sharing online resource for sports executives pursuing revenue-generating concepts. The Report re-launched Wednesday, Nov. 17 under the support of Baylor's S3 program.
The program will publish the online newsletter and guide the content management and marketing for the site. S3 executive director Dr. Kirk Wakefield will be the Report's editor.
"The Migala Report occupies the unique position of being the only publication in the field to focus on the instructional 'how-to' of sports sales and marketing," Wakefield said. "To that end, it is a valuable supplement to classes on the over 300 sports-related educational programs in the U.S. and a valuable tool to salespeople, managers, and executives in sports everywhere."
Students will gain firsthand experience in sales management, professional selling, integrated marketing communications and customer relationship management by managing and executing sales strategy and content management for the Report. S3 students will sell subscriptions nationwide to professors and managers. Proceeds go to the S3 program for student activities and scholarships.
Sports executives, including some that are alumni of Baylor's S3 program, will contribute content to blog.
"Our goal is to be the premier educational source for best practices in sports sales and marketing on a worldwide basis," Wakefield said.
