Bayer Names Carnegie Science Center Recipient of $150,000 Bayer USA Foundation Grant
PITTSBURGH, March 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bayer Corporation announced today that the Bayer USA Foundation has awarded the Carnegie Science Center (CSC) a three-year grant totaling $150,000 to support a range of STEM-related (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) programs, events and competitions at CSC's new Center for STEM Education and Career Development.
"Bayer has long been involved in helping to improve STEM education, providing access to rich hands-on STEM experiences and promoting diversity in STEM fields. The latest grant is earmarked for the development of new hands-on, inquiry-based teaching and learning programs at the Science Center, as well as for established programs like SciTech Days, ChemFest, Tour Your Future and Girls Engaged in Math and Science (GEMS).
