Since Seabright did not have a U-Haul dealer – the closest one was a few miles outside of town – Taggart said she wanted to provide an accessible location for the residents.

"They have been pretty excited," she said. "Most people in the area needed a place to get U-Haul and there was no place close."

Bay Hammocks has been in business for 15 years. Taggart purchased the company from a retired couple in October 2013 because she wanted to own her own business, like her husband. Shannan Taggart owns a glass and glazing company. He installs windows into high-rise buildings.

Taggart is thoroughly impressed with her new status as a U-Haul dealer and intends to add more U-Haul products in the future.
