Baxi Provides Unique 3D Perspective on Code Compliance

Using cutting-edge 3D visualisation technology, Baxi will engage and inspire Ecobuild visitors with a fresh perspective on the latest heating and hot water solutions available to meet Code for Sustainable Homes Levels 3 and 4.

Baxi will take visitors on a dedicated 3D visualisation experience, demonstrating how the company can help achieve carbon reduction targets through specification of the right heating and hot water solution for a project. This will allow specifiers to explore in detail Baxi's many low and zero carbon options for meeting Code requirements on social housing and private developments. Baxi experts will address the key issues and legislative challenges facing visitors, answering questions, working through real-world scenarios and providing advice on how to comply with the Code and Decent Homes standards.  

One of the major innovations on show for the first time at Ecobuild will be Baxi's recently launched GA (Gas Adaptive control) boiler range, capable of delivering an immediate 2.7% improvement in DER/TER in SAP compared to a non-GA boiler. These boilers, including the Megaflo System Compact GA, Baxi Duo-tec GA and the Baxi Neta-tec Combi GA, continuously measure and control the fuel (natural gas or LGP) and air enabling the appliance to always work at optimum combustion efficiency.  

Also on display will be Multifit GasSaver and Multifit HeatSaver flue gas heat recovery technologies which provide additional SAP benefits when combined with a high efficiency GA combi boiler. Visitors can see how the Multifit GasSaver reduces energy usage by up to 37% and water consumption by up to 7%. A Multifit HeatSaver package adds a 50 litre temporal store to the Multifit GasSaver system, optimising heating and reducing gas consumption still further.

Baxi will also be announcing at the show its new solar offering. This will include a new Solar PV solution and an improved Solar Thermal range now featuring a portrait and a landscape collector, quick fix roof mounting brackets and tool free hydraulic connections.  

Visitors can then take a look inside the award-winning Baxi Ecogen micro-CHP (Combined Heat and Power) solution for new build and retrofit specification. This revolutionary, dual-fuel appliance can help developers meet Code Level 4 and take advantage of Government funding initiatives, such as Feed-in Tariffs (FiT). It generates up to 1kWh of electricity whilst providing abundant supplies of space heating and hot water for the home.

Another highlighted solution will be the Baxi Bioflo. This innovative free-standing, pellet fed boiler can be installed in living areas, making boiler specification and installation much simpler on new-build and retrofit housing projects than is possible with traditional biomass solutions. Baxi Bioflo is especially suited to social housing developments in rural, off mains gas areas where it can help alleviate fuel poverty issues.  

In addition to the 3D visualisation, working models of a GA Combi, Baxi Bioflo, a Heatrae Sadia Megaflo eco cylinder, and a Baxi Ecogen will feature prominently in the Ecobuild Practical Installer zone, organised by Plumb Center.  These innovations combine with domestic and commercial boiler, heat pump, hot water storage and solar thermal technologies from Baxi's extensive brand portfolio to provide a comprehensive range of system solutions for specifiers.
