Bauer Xcel Media Announces Industry Veteran Alexandra Pressland Hired As Vice President of Product
NEW YORK, April 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Bauer Media Group's US digital business - Bauer Xcel Media US - today announced the appointment of Alexandra Pressland as the Vice President of Product. At Bauer Xcel Media US, Pressland will report to Allison Mezzafonte, SVP of Operations and will be responsible for advancing the growth and profitability of all of the company's digital brands, managing and expanding the product team and bringing new brands and products to market. Pressland will draw from her combination of content and commerce knowledge to develop commerce-based transactional products, a new venture for the company, and will drive further growth of recent launches such as chat bots and content distribution partnerships.
Pressland brings sixteen years of product leadership to her new role from major publisher brands including Bloomberg, Refinery29 and BBC. At Refinery29, she helped the company launch an ecommerce product that combined commerce and content in new innovative ways. She also has commerce experience from her time at Gilt Groupe where she focused on mobile and alternative payments. Most recently, Pressland was at Storyful where she was Product Lead for the company's Newswire service.
