Bauer Hockey Opens Minnesota OWN THE MOMENT Hockey Experience

BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Nov. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bauer Hockey, the world's leading manufacturer of ice hockey equipment and a subsidiary of Performance Sports Group Ltd. (NYSE: PSG) (TSX: PSG), today celebrated the grand opening of its OWN THE MOMENT Hockey Experience in Bloomington, Minn.  A 25,000 square foot BAUER brand and product experience, the OWN THE MOMENT Hockey Experience is a premium showcase designed to excite and engage hockey consumers of all ages and abilities.

The Bloomington location becomes only the second OWN THE MOMENT Hockey Experience in the world.  Bauer Hockey opened its first location in the Boston suburb of Burlington, Mass. and expects to open a total of only 8-10 locations throughout North America.

Built and designed to deliver the ultimate hockey showcase through a powerful BAUER brand experience, the OWN THE MOMENT Hockey Experience takes in-store shopping for hockey equipment and apparel to new heights.  Complete with a 2,500 square foot indoor ice rink with regulation boards and glass, the BAUER Personal Fit Experts guide each customer through an individual fitting protocol that is tailored to each athlete's style of play and ability, and includes skating on ice.

Today's grand opening celebration featured Amir Rosenthal, President of PSG Brands, Matt Smith, Vice President of Marketing for Bauer Hockey, and John Mullins, Bauer Hockey's Head of Retail during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

In true hockey fashion, Bauer Hockey also held an on-ice pre-game ceremony with James Bohn singing the national anthem, the Bloomington Fire Department Honor Guard and several invited 2015 Minnesota state championship youth players.  A celebration of hockey in Minnesota, Bauer Hockey recognized these youth players for their achievements at this event that attracted hundreds of hockey fans and players.  The presentation concluded with a ceremonial puck drop at center ice.
