Bauer Highlights Assault on Faith in Strategic Ad Campaign in Iowa and Ohio
WASHINGTON, Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former presidential candidate Gary Bauer announced this week that his Campaign for American Values would continue its strategic rollout of social issue based political messaging in this election cycle with new radio spots beginning Monday in Iowa and Ohio. "We intend to stop Barack Obama's assault on religious liberty and the rights of conscience," Bauer said.
Bauer's influence has been key in rallying the right of center voter who makes up the majority of America. Recently, the Guardian called Bauer "one of the leading campaigners in the U.S. on pro-life and pro-traditional family issues."
Bauer, chairman of CAV, said his latest spots contrast Mitt Romney's consistent support for faith as part of the rich fabric of American life, compared with Barack Obama's treatment of faith, whether by ordering religious institutions to pay for abortion-inducing drugs or the way in which Democratic activists fought any mention of God in their party's platform. The radio spots will air on faith-based stations as well as on news talk and country outlets.
Other advertising by Bauer in this cycle includes a campaign during the Democratic National Convention, in which North Carolinians were reminded of President Obama's support for same-sex marriage. Previous ads that Bauer ran on marriage were highly effective during the Bush-Kerry Presidential race in the swing state of Ohio, along with many other carefully targeted campaigns.
