Bauer Endorses Cotton For Senate
Arkansas Voters Deserve A Senator Who Will Represent Them, Not Obama
WASHINGTON, March 12, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former presidential candidate Gary L. Bauer this week endorsed Rep. Tom Cotton for the U.S. Senate, calling Cotton a committed conservative who will represent the values of Arkansas voters.
Bauer made the following statement: "From day one, the Obama Administration has assaulted the values of Arkansas voters by forcing Obamacare on the country, redefining marriage, promoting abortion, massively expanding the size of government and growing the national debt rather than our economy.
"Virtually every step of the way, Mark Pryor has aided and abetted Barack Obama's big government, tax-and-spend policies. Pryor has voted with Obama more than 90% of the time. The voters of Arkansas deserve a senator who will represent them and who will fight Obama's radical agenda.
"Now more than ever, we need conservative leaders in Washington who understand the proper, limited role of government. And we need a government that upholds our values, not one that is constantly assaulting them and undermining the rule of law.
"Tom Cotton has fought for America on foreign battlefields and he will fight for conservative values in the United States Senate. Having served all eight years in the Reagan Administration, I am pleased to say that Tom Cotton is a Ronald Reagan conservative who believes in the full-spectrum conservative agenda of lower taxes, smaller government, respect for traditional values and a strong national defense. I am proud to support Tom Cotton's campaign for the U.S. Senate, so we can once again put America on the right track."
Gary L. Bauer served in the Reagan Administration, as Under Secretary of Education and a President Reagan's chief domestic policy advisor. He ran in the 2000 Republican presidential primaries, and currently serves as chairman of Campaign for Working Families PAC. The Guardian called Bauer "one of the leading campaigners in the U.S. on pro-life and pro-traditional family issues."
CWFPAC exists for the express purpose of supporting candidates who will proudly promote conservative values, such as the defense of the traditional family, the sanctity of human life and the promotion of individual liberty and free enterprise.
