From 17 to 23 November, "Bartering Week 2014" will move thousands of travellers and thousands of ideas around Italy.

Now in its sixth edition, "Bartering Week" is organized annually by the http://www.bed-and-breakfast.it  portal, allowing travellers to stay in Italian B&Bs paying with whatever they can do, produce or invent.

Endless bartering ideas have inspired the site's virtual "market" over the years, allowing owners to make requests and come into contact with offers from travellers, with successful bartering for all concerned.

Some examples?

You could stay in Rome in exchange for a supply of typical food products; or you can sleep in Venice in exchange for a professional photo shoot of the host B&B; or, you could wake up in a B&B immersed in the green hills of Siena in exchange for the creation of a website or a native speaker translation.

Thousands of swap suggestions offered by travellers to Italian B&B owners, with more and more supporting the scheme, some even accepting barter offers all year round.

If you want to participate, just choose from one of the following ways:

1) go to the Bartering Week website, en.settimanadelbaratto.it and click on the desired destination, contacting directly the B&Bs found via the "Contact and Barter" form, or directly at the addresses provided by the site. We recommended you always take a look at the B&B "wish list" to see if what you can offer will be of interest to the chosen B&Bs.

2) Enter your barter offer on the en.settimanadelbaratto.it site, in the section "What will you barter for a stay in a B&B", and indicate the region, if any, that you prefer. B&B owners in the chosen region will be able to view barter offers and get back to you if they are interested.

3) Post your barter ideas on the Facebook wall http://www.facebook.com/settimanadelbaratto  and wait for replies from the B&Bs on the social network.
