(NYSE: CUDA), a leading provider of cloud-connected security and storage solutions, today announced that it will offer advanced application security on Barracuda Load Balancer ADC models 540 and above at no additional cost. This move signifies a new approach in the application delivery market, making advanced security available to organizations at an affordable cost.

Traditional Application Delivery Controller (ADC) platforms can force customers to make a choice between budget and security, which may lead to compromised security. Barracuda's new approach allows organizations purchasing Barracuda Load Balancer ADC models 540 and above to include advanced application security automatically, giving customers the option of scaling layer 7 application security while managing traffic in their data centers.

Barracuda Load Balancer ADC model 540 is available immediately and starts at US list price $6,999 USD for the appliance and US list price $1,249 USD for Energize Updates. An optional Instant Replacement service featuring priority replacement of failed hardware and complimentary refresh of four-year old hardware units is available starting at US list price of $1,549 USD per year. International pricing and availability vary by region.
