ADAO was founded in 2004 after President and CEO Linda Reinstein's husband Alan was diagnosed with mesothelioma. Since its founding, ADAO has been committed to three objectives: education, advocacy and community support. The organization is also proud to offer free help to those who contact them, and works constantly to enhance public awareness of the dangers associated with asbestos use, both through public relations efforts and legislation.
"I'm very proud to sponsor this event," said Russell W. Budd, managing shareholder. "ADAO's objectives are similar to those of Baron & Budd, so it's a good fit. Sponsoring this conference is our way of showing that we want to work with ADAO to solve the horrible tragedy of asbestos in America."
Baron & Budd has fought asbestos manufacturers and distributors for over 30 years on behalf of those suffering from mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases. Mesothelioma is a rare cancer caused by asbestos exposure that affects the lining of the lungs, abdomen or heart. Other asbestos-related diseases include asbestosis and certain types of lung cancer.
