Barneys New York Hires Marina Larroudé as Fashion Director
NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Barneys New York, the luxury specialty retailer, announces the hire of Marina Larroudé as Fashion Director. Larroudé comes from Teen Vogue, where she served as Fashion and Accessories Director for two years; she will start at Barneys New York on January 3rd, 2017.
In her new role, Larroudé will report to Jennifer Sunwoo, Executive Vice President and General Merchandise Manager of Women's & Brand Licensing. Larroudé's primary responsibilities fall under designer discovery, product development, and marketing. As Fashion Director, Larroudé will be working closely with established and emerging brands, leveraging exclusives which will continue to reinforce and further elevate the discerning edit of Barneys New York products. Additionally, Larroudé will collaborate on the Barneys New York women's private label ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, and accessories, from design through production. Larroudé will also manage all trend reports, liaise between vendors, the merchant team, and the marketing team to curate the products featured in the mailers, digital lookbooks, social media, and TheWindow.Barneys.com.

As Fashion and Accessories Director at Teen Vogue, Larroudé oversaw all fashion content for the magazine and online shoots. She was instrumental in curating trends for the publication, and consistently sought out emerging designers and talent. Prior to her role at Teen Vogue, Larroudé spent eight years at Style.com and Men.Style.com, working as the Fashion Market Director and Market Editor, respectively. Larroudé has also worked for Temperley London and Vogue Brazil, and graduated from Fundação Armando Alvarez Penteado (FAAP).
