Barney & Barney was recognized in the "Multioffice Team With 200 or More Plans" category. It was the third consecutive year Barney & Barney was recognized as a top 100 adviser by the magazine.

The PLANADVISER Top 100 Retirement Advisers is an annual listing of the retirement plan advisers and adviser teams that stand out in the industry based on a series of quantitative measures. These include the dollar value of qualified plan assets under advisement (AUA), as well as the number of plans under advisement. The list also includes those who have more than 20% of their practice focused on 403(b), 457, defined benefit (DB) or nonqualified deferred compensation (NQDC) plans.

To qualify for the list, individual advisers had to have 65 or more plans or at least $500 million in AUA. Teams needed to advise at least $1.5 billion in assets or a minimum of 125 plans. Multioffice teams needed to oversee $2.5 billion in plan assets or 200 or more plans.
