Barenaked Ladies and Spoon Perform LIVE at the 26th Annual World's Largest Block Party! It's Time to Rock the Block!
CHICAGO, July 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The 26th Annual World's Largest Block Party is finally here, and more than 18,000 people are expected to attend over the two nights, Friday, July 9 and Saturday, July 10! Barenaked Ladies will take the stage tonight at 8:50 p.m., with Kris Allen (winner of American Idol season 8) opening the show at 7:40 p.m. Additionally, two up and coming artists -- Jeffrey David and Angel Taylor -- will entertain audiences at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. respectively. On Saturday, July 10, Spoon headlines this fun-filled festival and will go on stage at 9 p.m., with White Rabbits opening the show at 7:30 p.m., along with Adam Fitz and Chris Mills performing at 5:30 p.m. and 6:20 p.m., respectively.
Tickets are $40 in advance; $45 at the gate, if event is not sold-out. There is also a two-night pass available for $70. Additional fun elements include a great line-up of celebrity bartenders joining us this year including the following numerous media personalities such as: Rob Stafford (NBC); Susan Carlson (CBS); Dina Bair (WGN) and many more; plus, Bobby Douglas, a former quarterback who played for the Chicago Bears from '69-75. Douglas set the NFL record for most yards rushing by a quarterback in one season, with 968 yards in 1972. This record stood for 34 years. Celebrity bartenders will serve drinks at the main stage bar (West side of the lot) from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
