Barclays Wealth Hires Three Investment Representatives in Chicago
Stuart Buck, William Scherr and David Yaccino join the firm as Directors
CHICAGO, Feb. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Barclays Wealth, a leading global wealth manager by assets under management, is pleased to announce the appointment of three Investment Representatives to its Chicago office, expanding upon the firm's current experience and capabilities in the area.
Stuart Buck, William Scherr and David Yaccino join the firm as Directors from Goldman Sachs, where they were private wealth advisors. Together, the team has over 65 years of experience managing portfolios and providing investment advice for high net worth clients, foundations and endowments. They have a particular focus on single stock risk management and the management of fixed income and equity portfolios. In their new roles, they report to Chris Williams, Managing Director and Regional Manager of the Chicago office.

Mr. Buck joins Barclays Wealth as a Director, bringing with him 25 years of industry experience providing wealth management and investment services to his clients. Having joined Goldman Sachs in 1987 as a private wealth advisor, Mr. Buck specialized in asset allocation, equity investment management strategies and philanthropic solutions. He holds a B.Ed. from Chester College of Higher Education in England and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. He is involved in fundraising in the Chicago area for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Mr. Scherr has over 20 years of wealth management experience and joins the firm as a Director, focusing on single stock risk management and equity portfolio management. As a private wealth advisor at Goldman Sachs since 1990, Mr. Scherr structured equity portfolios and oversaw portfolio management for high net worth clients, specializing in single stock risk management. He holds a B.A. from the University of Nebraska and an M.B.A. from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. Mr. Scherr also serves as the President of the Board of World Sport Chicago, the legacy organization of the Chicago 2016 Olympic bid that promotes the awareness of and participation in Olympic and Paralympic sports for the youth of Chicago. He was a member of the 1998 US Olympic Wrestling team, earning a bronze medal.
Mr. Yaccino also joins Barclays Wealth as a Director after 17 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a private wealth advisor focused on fixed income, cash management and alternative investment opportunities. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs in 1995, Mr. Yaccino was an investment banker at Bankers Trust in the Energy Derivatives group. He holds an A.B. in History from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Mr. Yaccino is on the Board of Visitors for Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh.
Prior to joining Barclays Wealth, Messrs. Buck and Yaccino were members of Goldman Sachs' Leadership Council, an annual distinction awarded to top-performing advisors within Private Wealth Management.
