Barbara Post, CPT-KA is recognized by Continental Who's Who
BALLWIN, Mo., Nov. 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Who's Who recognizes Barbara Post, CPT-KA, as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the pet training field.
Post's original career aspirations did not directly involve pet training – she spent 25 years as an interior designer. While her career flourished, she fostered her love of dogs by dog-sitting for her friends while they were away from home. She also provided dog training services to friends and family.
Prior to opening The Home Schooled Pet, Post served as a volunteer with the Animal Protective Agency of St. Louis. According to her company bio, "she was an accredited teacher at PetSmart dog training school in 2012 and continued there until creating The Home Schooled Pet teaching obedience training."
Post's company bio continues to indicate that "it (her) belief that Positive Reinforcement Training performed in the pet's home environment is the most beneficial format for training the family pet. By working with the pet in its home, she is able to better instill good behavior that will ultimately become a solid part of the family thereby having a well-behaved dog at home as well as out."
Post recently became a Certified Professional Trainer-Knowledge Assessed. With an Associate's degree in Interior Design from St. Louis Community College, Post is affiliated with the American Kennel, National Association of Professional Women and is a member of the Town & Country Chapter of Women's Power Networking.
When not working, Post volunteers her time with West Springs Church in her hometown, where she serves as the coordinator for ACTS (4:32) of sharing program which benefits circle of concern food pantry. She also enjoys travel, reading and crafts.
