ADDISON, Texas, Sept. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, September 19th Bar Louie locations around the country will host their annual "Rock the Tot" tater tot eating contest. As part of the event, participants will be asked to make a donation to Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign. For $2, competitors will get to participate in the competition and receive a $5 bounce back for a future visit. While the donation is not mandatory, it is encouraged.

The fundraising tie to "Rock the Tot" is just a part of Bar Louie's month long efforts to raise money for No Kid Hungry. During the month of September, if a guest orders a burger or sandwich and "loads" their tater tots, Bar Louie will donate $.50. In addition, any guest that makes a donation of $2 or more will receive a $5 bounce back valid during the month of October. For every $1 raised Share Our Strength is able to provide 10 meals to end childhood hunger. Bar Louie's 2013 fundraising goal is 750,000 meals or $75,000.
