BankUnited Names Harlan Parrish SEVP, Neighborhood Banking
MIAMI LAKES, Fla., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- BankUnited has named Harlan Parrish senior executive vice president, Neighborhood Banking. In his new role, Parrish will oversee the growth and evolution of BankUnited's retail branch network.

Parrish joins BankUnited following a 26-year career with BB&T/Colonial Bank. He spent the last 11 years in senior leadership roles with the bank's Florida and southeast and southwest US franchises. He recently served as president and CEO of Colonial's retail channel, including more than 350 branches in five states, residential mortgage lending and wealth management.
Active in the local community, Parrish held leadership positions with a number of non-profit and education-focused organizations on Florida's west coast.
Parrish completed the Bank Administration Institute's Graduate School of Retail Banking and holds a bachelor's degree from Auburn University.
