SYRACUSE, N.Y., May 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Syracuse Northeast Community Center recently challenged Syracuse, New York accounting firms Grossman St. Amour CPAs PLLC and Dannible & McKee, LLP to a friendly food drive competition during their industry's busiest time of year—tax time. Together, the two firms collected 2,785 pounds of food and personal care items for SNCC.
Grossman St. Amour CPAs won the competition by 25 pounds. "The challenge turned out to be not only quite competitive, but amazingly successful," Linda Gabor, CPA, Partner at Grossman St. Amour CPAs, said in a company statement. "Our employees were motivated to help SNCC and rose to the challenge during crunch time."
Bankers Healthcare Group was one of many local companies that supported Grossman St. Amour by hosting their own in-house food drives.
"Each of these companies share in the award and recognition received by our firm," Gabor continued. "We would like to thank each of these companies for stepping up and participating in this wonderful cause!"
"When Grossman invited BHG to join the food drive competition, we were eager to participate and support the Syracuse Northeast Community Center," said BHG CEO Al Crawford. "Thank you to all the organizations and individuals who contributed to the efforts."
Syracuse Northeast Community Center offers programming for youth, seniors and families as well as for health education and access. For more information, visit snccsyr.org.
