Bankers Healthcare Group Sponsors The Special Operations Golf Tournament Of South Florida To Support Military Families

The mission of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation is to provide scholarship grants to the more than 1,100 children of more than 900 Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps special operations personnel who gave their lives in service to the Unites States since 1980. Today, 239 children of fallen special operations personnel have graduated college with assistance from SOWF.

"This is a cause that touches the hearts of military servicemen and women and their families across the nation. For all that our military families give, it's a privilege to support an organization that does so much to give back."

This is the third year BHG has been involved in the Special Operations Golf Tournament. Senior Loan Manager Tom Kleinman was one of 17 BHG employees to participate this year.

"Through the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, children of our nation's fallen heroes receive financial assistance in pursuing a college education," said Kleinman. "It's a privilege to be a part of the Special Ops Golf Tournament and honor those who have sacrificed so much for our country by supporting their families."

The foundation also provides grants to personnel who have been severely wounded in the line of duty. These funds cover their families' travel expenses so they can go be with their loved ones. SOWF has provided over $2.2 million to wounded special operations personnel since the initiative's launch in 2005.
