Bankers Healthcare Group Recognized As "Business of the Year" In South Florida

DAVIE, Fla., April 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The South Florida Business Journal has selected Bankers Healthcare Group, a leading provider of financial solutions for healthcare professionals, as a 2016 Business of the Year award winner.

BHG was one of last year's Business of the Year finalists, and has experienced substantial growth since then. Following its initial acquisition in 2015, Pinnacle Financial Partners Inc. acquired an additional 19 percent stake in BHG in a $144 million cash-and-stock deal earlier this year, increasing its total stake in BHG to 49 percent.

Finalists were honored and winners announced at a dinner awards program held Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the InterContinental Miami. Emcee Jason Alpert revealed the winners in each category and presented the Non-Profit Award to Feeding South Florida. The program concluded by honoring Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Donald Soffer, the founder of Turnberry Associates.
