Bankers Healthcare Group Employees Go Apple Picking For The Food Bank of Central New York
SYRACUSE, N.Y., Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The marketing department at Bankers Healthcare Group recently donated 80 pounds of freshly picked apples to the Food Bank of Central New York, a nonprofit organization and certified member of Feeding America that works with the CNY community to eliminate hunger through food distribution, education and advocacy.
The marketing department planned a team building event at Beak & Skiff apple orchard, recently voted the no. 1 best apple orchard in the U.S. by USA TODAY and 10Best. Instead of buying the apples to take home, they decided to pick for charity. After spending a beautiful autumn day at the orchard, the team left with plenty of handpicked produce for the Food Bank.
