Bank-owned real estate throughout the Southeast to sell in upcoming live, online auctions
ATLANTA, June 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Scores of bank-owned properties stretching from North Carolina to New Orleans to South Florida will sell in a group of auctions that will include simulcast live events in Atlanta and Tampa as well as a major online-only auction. John Dixon & Associates is managing the auctions.
Properties being sold include a Dauphin Island condominium, office buildings, shopping centers, homes, home sites and land.
"As we looked at the number of properties and their locations, some were better suited for live events and others were better candidates for an online auction. We have real estate from Georgia, Alabama, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana and even Missouri in this auction," said John Dixon, president of the auction company.
The first live event, featuring properties from the Emerald Coast to to Fort Lauderdale, will begin at 11 a.m. Eastern at the Hilton Garden Inn in Temple Terrace, Fla. The second live event -- set for 11 a.m. Eastern on June 26 in the John Dixon & Associates offices at 200 Cobb Parkway North, Suite 120, in Marietta – will focus primarily on properties in Georgia and North Carolina.
"In Florida, we have a number of residential lots in highly desirable areas, including canal sites in Lake Placid, Port Charlotte and Cape Coral. We also have a number of commercial buildings and quite a bit of commercial land throughout the state," said Dixon.
Among the properties selling in the Atlanta event are a retail strip shopping center and two medical office buildings in the same location in Elijay, Ga. "The retail property, built in 2006, will sell as one offering, along with two model log cabins that were used by a prior business there. The two medical buildings have more than 10,000 square feet combined and were built in 2004," said Dixon.
Most of the 55 properties in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina, Indiana and Missouri will be sold in the online portion, with bidding running from June 20 through June 25. Those items will include three-bedroom condo on Dauphin Island, as well as commercial buildings in St. Louis, Mo., and Washington, Ind.
