Bank of America Merrill Lynch Hires Jonathan Shiff as Head of Americas Corporate Derivatives and Foreign Exchange
Hires Continue in the Global Markets Business
NEW YORK, April 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Risk management products are core to the financial solutions Bank of America Merrill Lynch provides to corporate and investment banking clients. In support of continuing the company's leadership in these products, Bank of America Merrill Lynch announces that Jonathan Shiff will join as head of Americas Corporate Derivatives and Foreign Exchange.

Shiff will be based in New York and is expected to join the company in July. He will report jointly to Bryan Weadock, co-head of Global Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities Sales, and the heads of Global Capital Markets, Alastair Borthwick and Lisa Carnoy.

Shiff joins from Barclays Capital where he was managing director and co-head of the Risk Solutions Group, U.S., responsible for growing the company's U.S. corporate client business for interest rate products, cross-currency swaps, and other risk management products. Prior to that, he worked at UBS for seven years, most recently as a director in the Fixed Income Derivatives group. Shiff has a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
Shiff's appointment follows a number of significant new hires in Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Global Markets business over the last month, including:
- Hayley Boesky, vice chairman of Global Markets.
- Karen Fang, head of Cross Asset Strategies and Solutions for Global Markets in the Americas.
- Giles Hutson, managing director, EMEA Debt Capital Markets.
- Gerry Walker, co-head of Americas Credit Sales.
