Bank of America Merrill Lynch Appoints Karen Fang as Head of Cross Asset Strategies & Solutions for Global Markets in the Americas
NEW YORK, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Bank of America Merrill Lynch today announced that Karen Fang will join the company as managing director and head of Cross Asset Strategies & Solutions for Global Markets in the Americas. She will be based in New York and report to Bryan Weadock, co-head of Global Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities Sales. She is expected to join the company in June.

In this new role, Karen will work across the firm's fixed income and equity platforms to oversee the development and distribution of investment and hedging solutions for all client segments. In addition, she will be responsible for managing the distribution of cross asset solutions for Asian pensions and sovereign wealth funds.
Karen was most recently a managing director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where she was responsible for the pension, endowment and foundation cross asset solutions group in North America. Prior to joining Goldman, Sachs & Co., Karen held senior derivatives structuring positions at firms including Merrill Lynch Tokyo and Deutsche Bank London.

In 2004, Karen was a recipient of the "Rising Star Award" from the Women's Bond Club of New York. She has a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Tokyo.
