Bandit Big Rig Series Heads to Greenville-Pickens June 10th
BLOOMING PRAIRIE, Minn., June 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Minimizer Bandit Big Rig Series returns to one of racing's most storied tracks, when the Bandits invade Greenville-Pickens Speedway, Saturday, June 10th.
The last time the Bandits hit up Greenville-Pickens, fans were treated to a classic, with Ricky Rude (#14) winning his first event of the season. Rude, the series points leader, has since won two more events.
"I'm running really good right now," Rude said. "The truck is in great shape and we did pretty well at Greenville-Pickens a couple months ago, so I'm looking forward to getting back there."
Fans sold-out Greenville-Pickens the last time the Bandits raced in Easley, South Carolina, and the expectations are this weekend's event will draw a similar crowd.
"They've been sold out of food and drinks everywhere we've been," team owner and driver Craig Kruckeberg said. "The response has been fantastic."
Drivers race for a $50,000 purse at every Bandit event, with the winner of the feature race taking home a $10,000 check.
Justin Ball (#17) and Mike Morgan (#88) are two and three in the season standings, right behind Rude.
"Greenville-Pickens will be interesting, because several drivers have the chance to move to the top of the leaderboard, so a lot is on the line," Madsen said.
Gates open at 4 p.m. June 10th and the racing action starts at 7:30 p.m.
