Baird & Warner Donates More Than $50,000 to Local Chicago Nonprofits

CHICAGO, Dec. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Baird & Warner Good Will Network has donated more than $50,000 to Chicagoland charities this month, bringing the organization's total 2013 grants to almost $150,000 and total grants to almost $2 million. The nonprofits chosen to receive monetary gifts were submitted by Baird & Warner brokers and employees, then voted on by the entire company.

Of the more than $50,000 donation, $15,000 went to Hephzibah, $10,000 went to Almost Home Kids, and $8,500 went to Naperville Responds for our Veterans, House of the Good Shepherd and SOS Children's Villages of Illinois.

Earlier this year, the Baird & Warner Good Will Network donated $22,000 to Save the Children to assist in the relief efforts after Hurricane Sandy. The organization also gifted a total of $50,000 to five Chicago-area nonprofits chosen from a list of charities the Baird & Warner branch offices support throughout the year. Both of these grants were in addition to the almost $45,000 in donations from the local Baird & Warner branch offices.

The Baird & Warner Good Will Network seeks to provide support to local nonprofit organizations, with a focus on shelter and homelessness particularly for families and children. It is administered through the Good Will Network Fund held at the Chicago Community Trust.
