Bailey & Glasser Investigating Takata Defective Airbag Recall
CHARLESTON, W.Va., Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Bailey & Glasser LLP is investigating the facts surrounding a recent notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) urging consumers to act immediately to replace defective Takata airbags found in over 7 million vehicles.
According to NHTSA, the defect can cause the airbags to deploy with too much force, sending shrapnel into the face and chest of the driver or passenger that can cause serious injury or death. Some reports indicate that the recent death of a Florida woman could have been caused by a defective airbag in her 2001 Honda Accord.
