Bahrain Creates New Professional Certification Fund
MANAMA, Bahrain, Nov. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tamkeen, an independent authority supporting Bahraini employment, has created a BD2.24 million fund to help Bahrainis obtain professional certifications.
"This concept has been designed to assist and fund those who wish to enhance their professional status and progress their careers by attaining professional qualifications that suit their respective fields," Tamkeen Chief Executive Mahmood Al Kooheji said.
Applicants that have the core qualifications will be able to choose from more than 100 professional certification programs that include marketing, human resources, accounting, finance, engineering, health and safety and project management.
"Under such a flexible scheme, as the need arises, more qualifications can be added to those that will initially be offered," Al Kooheji said.
Ultimately, the fund will help fix the skills shortage in the labor market and increase the value of the work force.
