Bahrain Creates Compensation Fund

MANAMA, Bahrain, Sept. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Yesterday His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa laid out plans for a national fund to ensure "substantial" compensation for victims of the recent unrest, Gulf Daily News reported.

The National Compensation and Redress Fund was approved by the Ministers and will be under the direction of the Human Rights and Social Development Ministry.

The creation of this fund is in alignment with royal directives to promote national laws and legislation and will help to protect citizens rights laid out during the national dialogue.
