Thesps Christian McKay - most acclaimed for his portrayal of Orson Welles in Richard Linklater's "Me and Orson Welles" and for his performance as Lord Hesketh in Ron Howard's "Rush", also currently appearing in "Strangers on a Train" in London's West End - and revered film and stage actor Simon Callow CBE, have joined the cast of actor Ben Cura's directorial debut and screen adaptation of stage play "Creditors", originally written by Swedish playwright August Strindberg in 1888, and recently revived by actor Alan Rickman at the Donmar Warehouse in London and at the BAM Theatre in New York.

The film's cast also boasts Bernard Rose's "Der Teufelsgeiger" (English: "Paganini: The Devil's Violinist") star Andrea Deck as one of the lead characters.
The project is looking to crowd-funding website Kickstarter to raise a minimum of 200,000£ in 30 days.
Christian McKay said: "I once met a man who was a billionaire and I said to him: "Are you a self-made man?" - and he turned around and said: "No man is self-made"; and certainly if you want to make films or get into television or even theatre, the amount of help that you need, the amount of people who need to give you a helping hand is extraordinary. The great thing about Kickstarter is that it does just that: people can be actively involved in creating something."
Ben Cura said: "[Kickstarter] is probably the most failsafe way to preserve your film's integrity while involving a great bunch of people you're excited to share the experience of making the movie with."
Kickstarter projects offer rewards in exchange for money pledged towards raising the total amount the project aims for. Pledges can range between 10£ (GBP) and 5000£ (GBP).
Some of the rewards offered in return for pledges are: cast and crew screening tickets, a chance to be in the film as an actor in one of the scenes alongside Simon Callow - with a guaranteed credit - limited edition DVD copies of the film and soundtrack, t-shirts and other memorabilia, access to exclusive live behind the scenes streams, advertising opportunities for companies, producer credits and many more.
Other people involved in the project are tenor and conductor José Cura, whose performances of symphonic pieces will be used as part of the film's soundtrack; production manager Guy Tannahill ("Mission: Impossible", "Hannibal Rising", "Game of Thrones") and sound technician José Vinader ("Sexy Beast", "The Machinist", "Open Your Eyes").
Cinematographer Ben Hecking ("Hinterland", "Hide and Seek") will be in charge of the film's photography.
A week's worth of the final film has already been filmed, and is shown as part of the campaign in order for potential backers to gauge what the final film will look like. The "Kickstarter Preview" video can be found here: http://bit.ly/kickstarterpreview
