SIOUX FALLS, Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- When Badlands Pawn, Gold & Jewelry opens to the public on November 26 at 9 a.m., it will also begin broadcasting South Dakota's only live 24-hour radio station. KBAD 94.5 FM, also known as the Guns, Gold & Rock N Roll Radio Network, will begin its round-the-clock broadcasting with a slew of talented DJs and non-stop rock & roll music.
"This will be another truly unique experience for guests of Badlands Pawn," said founder and CEO Chuck Brennan. "Rock & roll has been my passion since I started my business career managing rock bands and owned the largest concert club in the area at just 21 years old," he said. "KBAD will bring guests the music we all grew up with and love right in front of them every day."
KBAD 94.5 will broadcast live from the floor of Badlands Pawn 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Led by longtime Sioux Falls DJ and radio personality Crash, the broadcasts will allow guests to watch and listen to the live broadcasts every day of the week.
"It's easily been 20 years since Sioux Falls and the surrounding area has had a 24/7 live DJ at a rock station, taking requests and killing the airwaves with the greatest rock songs from the past five decades," said Brennan. "That's all changing with the launch of the Guns, Gold & Rock N Roll Radio Network."
Crash and Taylor will kick off mornings on KBAD 94.5 with a weekday show from 5:30 to 10 a.m. Ron Keel, "The Metal Cowboy" and bandleader for Badlands House Band, will be on air from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. DJ "The Rev" is on-air from 2:30 to 7 p.m. weekdays. Cade takes the reigns from 7 to 11:30 p.m., followed by "The Sheriff" Vic and Deputy Denise overnights from 11:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
"There will be different voices on the air all day," said Crash. "Live DJs, which is rare in radio today. Chuck wants to bring the fun back to radio and make an impact on peoples' lives like it did in the good old days. We are bringing back the music and radio stations you grew up with, right here in the heart of Badlands."
KBAD 94.5 will be an interactive experience with guests of Badlands Pawn, allowing them to request songs and talk to the DJs. "I look forward to getting the audience involved and having our producer out on the streets doing fun stuff," he said. "It will be unlike any other radio station you've heard in the past 20 years!"
The station will begin broadcasting live in Sioux Falls on 94.5 FM at 9 a.m. on November 26, when Badlands officially opens to the public.
Badlands will include a pawn shop, gun range, concert space with in-house ticket broker, foundry, tattoo shop, 24 hour live rock radio station, nickel coffee and free ice water among other things. Brennan, a Sioux Falls native, philanthropist and businessman, created the Badlands empire in Sioux Falls, which also includes Badlands Motor Speedway and Badlands Entertainment Group.
Badlands Pawn, Gold & Jewelry, opening to the public November 26 at 9 a.m., will become one of the state's largest tourist destinations in the heart of the Sioux Falls Sports & Entertainment District. Admission is free. For more information, call 844.798.PAWN (7296) or visit www.badlandspawn.com.
