Badgeville, The #1 Gamification Platform, Doubles Year-Over-Year Revenue
Record growth fueled by strong demand from global 2000 companies; company also secures key partnerships with Oracle and IBM
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Badgeville, The #1 Gamification Platform, today announced a new growth record with the doubling of the business's year-over-year revenue for the quarter. Founded in October 2010, Badgeville is experiencing this rapid growth fueled by demand from both new and expanded relationships with enterprise customers including Philips Electronics, Kimpton Hotels, Kendall Jackson, American Express, CA Technologies, Citrix, Bell Media, Ask.com and more.
The gamification cloud leader also recently secured partnerships with IBM and Oracle. In September, IBM launched its Digital Marketing Network and showcased Badgeville as the key gamification partner for its customers worldwide. At Oracle Open World this fall, Badgeville announced the availability of its Behavior Platform in the Oracle Cloud Network for Oracle Sales Cloud customers. At the event, Badgeville's gamification technology was showcased in keynotes and breakout sessions by Oracle thought leaders for numerous industry-leading applications including Oracle HCM, Oracle JD Edwards, Siebel, and Oracle BRM.
In addition to expanded customer and partner relationships, the company recently launched The Behavior Lab, the world's first center of excellence for Behavior Management and gamification strategy. With many home-grown and legacy gamification programs not increasing high-value business outcomes over the long term, Badgeville's team of gamification design experts have helped hundreds of global businesses achieve sustainable results based on research and design best practices.
"We chose Badgeville for both its market-leading gamification platform as well as the opportunity to build into our app a new kind of sustainable engagement program that brings Kendall Jackson and its wines to life in new ways," said Jason J. Hunke, Vice President, Communications for Kendall Jackson Winery. "As one of America's favorite wineries, we knew that it was extremely important to select a world-class partner like Badgeville that understands gamification is not a short-term project, but a long-term platform that can drive ongoing customer education, loyalty and interaction."
Badgeville is dedicated to hiring a world-class executive team to deliver long-term success for enterprise customers. The company today also announced the hiring of Eric Braun as a vice president of sales for North America. Mr. Braun brings over 20 years of experience in sales leadership positions in large corporations including IBM, PTC and GE as well as many successful startups. He joined Badgeville from IBM where he spent many years as a worldwide sales leader for their premier software brand WebSphere.
"More and more of the world's leading companies see gamification as a necessary initiative to support the needs of the new digital workplace and marketplace," said Ken Comee, CEO, Badgeville. "Eric's rich experience working with some of the world's largest companies will help further accelerate the growth of gamification as well as the success of our customers' enterprise-wide gamification programs."
