Continues to Raise the Bar for Enterprise-Level Gamification
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Sept. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Badgeville announced today that it has successfully completed the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type 2 audit. An independent auditor conducted the audit, verifying Badgeville's information security practices; policies, procedures and operations meet the SOC 2 Type 2 standards for security, availability, and confidentiality.
"Our customers rely upon us to manage behavior and achievement data for their more than 53 million members. Completing the SOC 2 Type 2 audit demonstrates our ongoing commitment to data security and underscores the investment we have made to keep our customers' data safe," said Jon Shalowitz, Badgeville CEO. "All enterprise customers need this level of security, availability, and scalability from a Gamification deployment."
About SOC 2 Type 2
The Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Report is based upon the Trust Services Principles. These Trust Service Principles are modeled around four broad areas: Policies, Communications, Procedures, and Monitoring. Each of the principles has defined criteria, which must be met to demonstrate adherence to the principles.
The audit assessed Badgeville's
- Security, where data centers are protected against unauthorized access (both physical and logical).
- Availability, where data centers are available for operation and use as committed or agreed.
- Processing integrity, where processing is complete, accurate, timely and authorized.
- Confidentiality, where information designated as confidential is protected as committed or agreed.
- Privacy, where personal information is collected, used, retained, disclosed and destroyed in conformity with privacy principles issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA).
In addition to successfully completing the SOC 2 Type 2 audit, Badgeville continues to raise the bar for enterprise gamification with a number of major, enterprise-level infrastructure improvements. "Enterprise gamification is the future of work," said Steve Sims, Chief Design Officer from Badgeville. "It motivates employees and customers, tracks performance, and empowers every person to achieve their goals. Doing this on an enterprise scale requires highly sophisticated and secure technology, and these enhancements underscore Badgeville's unmatched and continued commitment to delivering a solution that can handle any and all enterprise needs."
