Babson Professor Patricia Greene Receives Award For 'Outstanding Contributions In Women's Research' From United States Association For Small Business And Entrepreneurship(r)
USASBE Special Interest Group 'Minority and Women' recognizes Greene's tireless efforts in the entrepreneurial advancement of women
WELLESLEY, Mass., Jan. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Babson College Professor Patricia Greene has received an award for her 'Outstanding Contributions in Women's Research' from the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship(r) (USASBE) and its Special Interest Group - Minority and Women Entrepreneurship.
Of her many roles at the college, Greene is known for holding the Paul T. Babson Chair in Entrepreneurial Studies, for her many achievements as Academic Director of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses and 10,000 Women programs, and as a founding member of the Diana Project - a research group focusing on women and the venture capital industry.
Her ongoing research focuses on the identification, acquisition, and combination of entrepreneurial resources, particularly by women and minority entrepreneurs. She is also a writer and editor of notable books such as Teaching Entrepreneurship: A Practice Based Approach, co-authored alongside Professor Heidi Neck and Vice Provost of Global Entrepreneurial Leadership Candida Brush. Most recently, Greene also served as one of 45 cross-divisional Babson scholar contributors in the new book, Evolving Entrepreneurial Education, Innovation in the Babson Classroom. She previously served as Provost, and before that as the Dean of Babson's Undergraduate School.
In 2014, USASBE named Patricia Greene a Justin G. Longenecker Fellow - the highest recognition that the association gives to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the development, furtherance, and benefit of entrepreneurship, small, and medium businesses. She was also the recipient of USASBE's John E. Hughes Award for Entrepreneurial Advocacy in 2012.
