Babson Named One Of The Top Global Providers Of Customized Executive Education By The Financial Times
No. 7 among 17 elite U.S. business schools; No. 25 among the best 85 schools worldwide
WELLESLEY, Mass., May 23, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Financial Times has recognized Babson as one of the best providers of customized executive education in its 2016 Executive Education rankings. The institution is ranked No. 7 among the top 17 business schools in the United States, and No. 25 out of 85 executive education providers worldwide.
"I am delighted that Babson is recognized as a top global executive education provider," said Dr. Elaine J. Eisenman, Dean of Babson Executive Education. "Our mission is to develop entrepreneurial leaders of all kinds who create great economic and social value, everywhere. Through our high impact programs, we enable executives and entrepreneurs alike to understand how to harness uncertainty into opportunity, and ultimately to drive business growth."
Babson's Executive and Enterprise Education offers customized learning solutions, tailored to meet clients' unique organizational needs. Such programs are designed and delivered to address key business priorities and enable leaders to create new opportunities through Entrepreneurial Thought & Action®. To-date, hundreds of organizations from virtually every key industry have partnered with Babson for its customized executive education offerings.
Methodology
The Financial Times customized executive education ranking is compiled using data from the business schools themselves, and from organizations that commissioned courses in 2015. These clients, nominated by the school, complete an online questionnaire about their program. At least five of their clients must complete the survey for a school to be eligible for the final ranking.
Client responses are weighted according to the program type. Strategic programs (those that are delivered to top management and designed to influence a company's direction) have the largest weighting and therefore the greatest impact on the ranking. Responses are also weighted according to the seniority of the individual responsible for specifying the course, the size of the client organization, and the number of schools with which that client has commissioned customized courses in the past three years.
This year, the FT survey was completed by nearly 2,850 business school clients. Each rated their program on a 10-point scale according to a range of indicators. Their answers directly inform the first 10 of the ranking's criteria — including course preparation, program design, teaching methods and materials, faculty, new skills, follow-up, aims achieved, facilities, value for money, and future use - which account for a combined 72 percent of the ranking's weight.
