Babson College Brings Entrepreneurial Leadership to Brazil's Burgeoning Economy

Dr. Elaine J. Eisenman, Babson Executive and Enterprise Education Dean, last week addressed executives of BM&FBOVESPA, one of the largest securities, commodities, and futures exchanges in the world in terms of market value and the leading exchange in Latin America.

* In her talk, "Succeeding Through Uncertainty", Eisenman said that predictive logic, outcomes analysis, and hypothesis testing are not sufficient means for business growth and success in an increasingly uncertain world.

* She introduced Babson's new model, Entrepreneurial Thought and Action(r), a different yet complementary logic, that starts with action and proceeds with quick reflection and recalibration as necessary, a highly effective way to succeed amidst uncertainty.

High Impact Business Management And Growth Program

Through BM&FBOVESPA's Educational Institute, Babson delivered the "High Impact Business Management and Growth Program" to established entrepreneurs who learned how to fine tune their firms and finance growth based on the standards of a listed company.

Entrepreneurial Action Program

Eisenman met with executives from Santander Universities, a division of Banco Santander, to kick-off the second offering of the Entrepreneurial Action program, an online course for entrepreneurship students in Brazil.  Students learn how to create sustainable, real-world solutions to social, economic, and environmental issues. Since launched last May, more than 5,000 students registered for the program.
