Babson College Among Best Graduate Business Schools According To The Princeton Review
Babson ranks in top 10 for "Greatest Opportunity for Women" and "Best Green MBA"
WELLESLEY, Mass., Oct. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Babson is among the country's most outstanding graduate business schools, according to The Princeton Review's new issue of its annual book, The Best 295 Business Schools: 2016 Edition.
Within the ranking, the Princeton Review has also named Babson's Graduate Program No. 5 for Greatest Opportunity for Women, ahead of Harvard and Stanford, and No. 10 for Best Green MBA.
"We celebrate this recognition from the Princeton Review for the fine work our Babson faculty, staff, and students do to build a successful community through the power of Entrepreneurial Thought and Action®," said Babson President Kerry Healey.
The book's two-page school profiles feature sections on academics, student life, admissions information, and graduates' employment data.
Within Babson's profile, Princeton Review editors describe the school as, "Consistently known [to be] one of the most entrepreneurially-focused business programs in the country…the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College in Wellesley, MA offers students the 'knowledge, support, flexibility, and mentorship to enable students to exercise entrepreneurial thought and action.' The word 'action' in the Entrepreneurial Thought and Action® pedagogy should be stressed as a practical application and is a major component of the MBA curriculum, which incorporates experiential learning throughout (such as the first year consulting project). Additionally, the giant Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship offers numerous co-curricular resources and services dedicated to supporting students in their entrepreneurial endeavors, as well as the largest entrepreneurship faculty in the world."
"Babson prepares its students to make things happen and to discover ways to maintain an entrepreneurship mindset in big corporate companies, which is something that I think is absolutely relevant for future executives in this world," said a Babson student, surveyed by the Princeton Review.
"We recommend Babson as one of the best to earn an MBA," said Princeton Review Senior VP-Publisher, Robert Franek. "We chose the 295 schools in this book based on our high regard for their academics and our assessment of institutional data we collect from the schools. We also solicited and greatly respect the opinions of 22,000 students attending these schools who reported on their experiences at their schools on our 80-question student survey for the book."
The Princeton Review's survey asked students at the 295 business schools about their institution's academics, student body, and campus life, as well as about themselves and their career plans. The student surveys that were used for this edition were completed online and conducted in the 2014-15, 2013-14, and 2012-13 academic years.
