Babson And Santander Universities Offer Symposium For Entrepreneurship Educators To 40 'Entrepreneurs' At University of Cantabria, Spain
WELLESLEY, Mass., Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Babson presented its Symposium for Entrepreneurship Educators (SEE) program to a group of 40 Spanish academics, government officials, foundation directors, and entrepreneurs at the University of Cantabria in Spain.
This was the inaugural program of the Santander International Entrepreneurship Center (CISE), an international center for entrepreneurship supported by Santander Universities.
Babson has partnered with Santander Universities to deliver its branded methodology of Entrepreneurial Thought and Action(r) (ETA), a unique educational process which trains participants in the "art and craft" of teaching and learning entrepreneurship.
CISE is an international initiative born from Banco Santander, through its division Santander Universities, Cantabria University and the Government of Cantabria to promote "integrated entrepreneurship." CISE's functions and mission are based upon four pillars: Promotion of the entrepreneurial culture, entrepreneurial research, entrepreneurial training, and knowledge transfer to support entrepreneurial action. The initiative is led by CISE President Federico Gutierrez-Solana.
The five-day intensive symposium provided an introduction to case method teaching and live, venture-based teaching. Attendees are encouraged to identify, plan, and improve as teachers, learners, researchers, colleagues, and entrepreneurs. SEE explores best practices in entrepreneurship education, case method frameworks, and pedagogy - in a dynamic setting.
The program was led by Babson Professors Heidi Neck and Andrew Corbett.
