BA CityFlyer Selects Pratt & Whitney's Environmentally Friendly EcoPower® Engine Wash

PARIS, June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- PARIS AIR SHOW -- BA CityFlyer has selected Pratt & Whitney's patented EcoPower engine wash service for its fleet of Embraer 170 and Embraer 190SR efficiency jets. Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company.

Under the four-year agreement, Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners will perform the washes at the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and at locations throughout the United Kingdom.

We expect to see this reflected in reduced fuel consumption and longer engine on-wing life."

BA CityFlyer, based out of Didsbury, Manchester, England, is a wholly owned subsidiary airline of British Airways Plc. The airline operates the majority of British Airways flights out of London City Airport.
