Azteca America FLM Soccer Final Surpasses the Million Mark
--May 19 game between Monarcas Morelia and Pumas reaches network audience of 1,099,000 viewers ages two or older and 803,000 viewers ages 18-49--

LOS ANGELES, May 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America, the alternative choice in broadcast television for Spanish-speaking families residing in the United States, is proud share results of its exclusive transmission of the first leg of the FLM soccer final, broadcast live from the Morelos Stadium on May 19.
The broadcast attracted an average of 1,099,000 viewers, according to NPM data for persons ages two or older, peaking at 1,399 viewers during the final half hour. Among 18-49 year-old audiences, the game attracted an average of 803,000 viewers, with a peak of over 1 million viewers.
"These are great numbers that highlight the attractiveness of live FLM soccer action among two stellar teams," said Azteca America CEO Martin Breidsprecher.
The final game also attracted strong viewing in Los Angeles, Dallas and Houston. According to Nielsen NSI data, among audiences ages 18-49, Azteca Los Angeles (KAZA ch. 54) attracted 146,000 viewers, Azteca Houston (KYAZ ch. 51) had 75,000 and Azteca Dallas (KAZD ch. 55) had 48,000 viewers.
Azteca broadcast a total of five games during the playoff cycle this month: two quarterfinal matches, two semifinal matches and the May 19 final.
FLM soccer action returns in August. Azteca America will transmit home games for the 2011-2012 seasons for Cruz Azul, Monarcas Morelia, Jaguares de Chiapas, Puebla and the newest league entry: the Escuincles de Tijuana.
