Free resource educates industry on new Medicare reimbursement system
DALLAS, June 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Axxess, an industry leader in home health management software, has released a new white paper to give home healthcare agencies nationwide the tools they need to improve their patient care and grow their business during the industry's transition to a value-based payment system.
The new Axxess white paper, "Home Health Value-Based Purchasing: Thriving in the New Environment," details the measures and processes that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, CMS, uses to determining how much agencies get reimbursed for their services by Medicare. In this new structure, agencies are compensated not for the amount of services that they provide, but for the quality and results of care.
"Value-based purchasing is disrupting how organizations have to think about patient care," says John Olajide, President and CEO of Axxess. "It is a complex model, and Axxess is determined to give healthcare providers all the resources they need to succeed and always put quality patient care first in this new Medicare reimbursement system."
