AWPPW-CPU Union Rejects Ingevity Chemical's latest Contract Offer
COVINGTON, Va., Feb. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Association of Western Pulp and Paper Workers (AWPPW) Local 675 CPU is resuming negotiations with Ingevity Corporation for a new Labor Agreement at the Company's Covington, Virginia Special Chemicals plant the week of February 27, 2017.
The Union rejected the Company's last offer by a 98% no vote of the membership, which took place December of 2016.
The issues that remain to be addressed for the Union are wage rate adjustments, wage increases, medical costs and assorted language items. The Covington plant makes high grade activated carbon primarily used in the auto industry.
