"Jay Deady is an experienced leader with an extensive healthcare information technology background who has demonstrated he can generate significant value to organizations. Following an extensive search, the board and I determined that Deady is absolutely the right choice to lead Awarepoint. He has an outstanding record of building high performance teams with a strong focus on client satisfaction," said Nicolas Nierenberg, Awarepoint's chairman of the board.
Deady's career has been in healthcare information technology for 21 years, including significant experience as a public corporate officer. He was most recently the executive vice president of client solutions for Eclipsys where he drove the corporate global go-to-market and solution delivery strategies, resulting in exponential growth in bookings, revenues, and earnings. He left in November 2010, after successfully positioning the company for merger with Allscripts. Prior to Eclipsys, Deady was senior vice president and general manager of revenue cycle at McKesson Provider Technologies. He also held general manager and vice president positions with Cerner Corporation and ADAC Healthcare earlier in his career.
"Awarepoint is the healthcare industry leader in the dynamic RTLS market segment. A great deal has been accomplished in recent years to create an enterprise awareness platform to support the needs of the hospital acute care market. These solutions are currently meeting the need for highly effective enterprise asset management and improved staff productivity, and are rapidly expanding to meet the need for clinical quality care impact, patient throughput efficiency and driving revenue improvement. Awarepoint's business strategy tracks very well to what Gartner analysts believe health systems must evolve to: ‘real-time enterprises (RTEs)’'. I look forward to continuing to develop the company together with all employees at Awarepoint, and to further positioning Awarepoint solutions to help our clients achieve significant outcome improvements in quality, operational efficiency and process improvement," said Deady.
