Award-Winning PetChatz™ Lets Pet Owners Hear, See, Greet and Treat Their Pets From Anyplace, Anytime
MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- PetChatzTM launches today as the first-ever "greet and treat" videophone that allows pet parents to have physical interaction with their pets from anywhere, anytime through their smartphones, tablets or computers.
The patented PetChatz unit is a small, sleek and durable system that mounts to any wall or kennel and lets owners and their pets see each other, hear each other and speak to each other. By clicking an icon, parents can also dispense a treat, provide a soothing scent and record and share videos of their pets' shenanigans.
"We developed PetChatz because as pet parents we know we can't always be there for our dogs and cats," said Lisa Lavin, founder and CEO of PetChatz. "We feel sad, even guilty when we leave our pets home alone. PetChatz relieves the human side of pet separation anxiety. No matter where you go, from work to travel, you can interact with your pet. They see you, hear you and feel your love with the tasty treats and soothing scents you provide with just a few clicks."
Recently named one of the top new pet products at the SuperZoo pet retailer trade show, PetChatz is available today for online pre-order here with delivery expected in time for the holidays. It will be available nationally in specialty pet stores and other retailers in First Quarter 2014. MSRP is $349. See the video here.
Simple installation, a lifetime of memories
PetChatz takes minutes to set-up through four simple steps:
- Owners mount their PetChatz unit over any electrical outlet in their home.
- They connect their PetChatz unit to their home WiFi network. Owners can then connect to their unit by logging onto PetChatz.com and/or downloading the PetChatz app.
- Owners then fill their PetChatz unit with PetChatz TreatzTM (chicken, liver or salmon) and PetChatz ScentzTM pads (for applying soothing essential oils).
- Owners can then check in with their pet from anywhere, anytime - a special ringtone alerts pets their owners are calling. (Or, sound/motion detectors can alert owners.) Owners say hello, share their smile through PetChatz' color screen, dispense snacks and scents, record and share videos.
