DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., July 13, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The award-winning ChannelCon Online, the virtual companion to CompTIA ChannelCon, the premier training and partnering event for the IT channel, is back for a return engagement in 2016.
Registration for ChannelCon Online is now open, CompTIA announced today. The virtual conference will provide participants with access to many of the keynote speeches and training sessions taking place at the live conference Aug. 1-3 at the Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Fla.
"As attendance at our live conference continues to trend upward, so does participation in ChannelCon Online," said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA.
"Last year more than 2,000 people were part of ChannelCon Online, more than double the number from 2014, the first year online sessions were offered," Ricker continued. "The virtual conference has proven to be an attractive option for industry executives and IT professionals unable to attend ChannelCon in person."
The 2015 edition of ChannelCon Online was honored earlier this year with a Sonic Foundry Enterprise Video Award in the High-Profile Event category.
ChannelCon Online 2016 kicks off at 8:45 a.m. EDT Tuesday, Aug. 2 with a welcome segment followed by state of the industry remarks by Todd Thibodeaux, president and CEO, CompTIA, and the conference's opening keynote speech.
Track4Techs, the ChannelCon-exclusive educational programming developed specifically for the IT pro community, begins on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 10:45 a.m. EDT.
In seven sessions over two days Track4Techs will explore how cloud, mobility, big data and the Internet of Things are transforming enterprise technology, and what this transformation means for IT professionals.
All Track4Techs sessions qualify for continuing education unit (CEU) credit toward the renewal of CompTIA certifications, including CompTIA A+, Security+, Network+, Mobility+, Cloud+ and CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner.
