Avondale Partners Names Morphett Head of Investment Banking

NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Avondale Partners, a national investment banking and wealth management firm headquartered in Nashville, today named Jonathan Morphett as the head of investment banking.

Morphett joined Avondale in 2004 as head of healthcare investment banking, where he helped establish the firm as a nationally-recognized provider of advisory and capital raising services for public and private companies.  Since his arrival, the firm has closed $15 billion of assignments for healthcare firms throughout the country.

Prior to coming to Avondale, Morphett founded Australian corporate finance advisory firm Rosebrook Ventures.  He is a former investment banking Managing Director at Morgan Stanley where he served in various positions for 14 years, primarily in New York and Sydney, Australia.

Morphett is a former board member of the Nashville Health Care Council and was recognized as a "2012 Health Care Hero" award winner by the Nashville Business Journal.  He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Friend's Life, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities. He received his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics degrees from the University of Adelaide, Australia, in 1981 and his MBA degree from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College in 1986.
