Avondale Partners Names Co-Director of Equity Research
NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Avondale Partners today announced that Jeff Black has been named Co-Director of Equity Research. In this role, Black will be responsible for helping to shape the firm's research product for maximum impact to the firm's institutional client base.
Black joined Avondale Partners in 2012 as a senior research analyst covering the consumer sector with a focus on mall-based specialty retailers, a position he will continue to hold. A seasoned analyst, he brings more than 20 years of research experience, having held senior research positions at Citigroup, Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers, each in New York. His work earned him top three/runner up ranking from 2008-10 in Institutional Investor magazine's annual poll of buy side firms, and he has been cited as a top research source for investors in the highly regarded Greenwich survey.
A boutique investment banking firm, Avondale's equity research product is central to the firm's business model with a coverage list of approximately 160 companies across six major industry sectors. Black joins Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer Sarah Sherck in co-directing the research team.
